Neha joined the Work Routes programme after arriving in Cornwall four week previously. She was looking for some support as she had not worked for six years and did not know the area, the industries or how to look for work successfully. Through the support of the ESF-funded Work Routes programme Neha joined the programme.
Neha met her Employment Adviser and started to work on her employability skills, utilising her transferable skills and building her confidence. They worked on tools which enabled her to demonstrate her work experience and skill set by creating a quality CV and adaptable cover letter.
Neha was studying at a local college and following her interest in Book Keeping and Accounts. Whilst on the programme she gained AAT Level 2 with 97% result.
Neha had support from all the team at Truro and participated on our programmes including;
- Character Traits
- Application Forms
- Identifying Job Goals
- Interview Skills
Following Interview Skills training Neha met our Recruitment Manager who explained that he was able to find exclusive vacancies and that he had strong links with local employers.
During her time at Work Routes Neha grew in confidence and through hard work and a positive attitude managed to gain employment. Within a few days of identifying the vacancy, Neha was invited for an interview. Neha used all of her training and techniques and after an excellent interview Neha was offered the job.
Neha said this about our support “They made my dream come true – The support has been really positive. They have helped me build my confidence and made me believe in myself. I am now in employment and that was possible through Work Routes and their support. I am proud of myself and what I have achieved. ”
